Who we are
In 2023 Julian Ramirez and Leah Wolfthal ran for the same for City Council seat, along with four other candidates. Although they did not know each other well during the campaign, they came to respect each other’s seriousness and commitment to good public policy. When Julian won the election, he asked Leah to join his team, and she is now his Chief of Staff! After the attempted assignation of President Trump in July 2024, they published an opinion piece in the Houston Chronicle decrying political violence and committing to enlarging the space for political discourse across dividing lines. They hosted their first event, a dinner dialogue on immigration, in July 2025.
